About the Role

A boutique architecture practice is seeking a Senior Associate to join their small, friendly team based near London Bridge. This role will suit someone with extensive business development and work winning experience within the UK high end residential sector. This role has come about as two Directors are retiring in the coming months, so there will be a clear pathway to Directorship once you've settled into the role and passed probation. As the future leader for this design led practice, you will take on a role that wears many hats across the business, but demonstrable work winning experience focused on high end residential and private homes is essential and candidates without this will not be considered. ResponsibilitiesLead the design direction on high end residential projects across the UK and LondonOversee projects through all RIBA stages, ensuring quality and deadlines are metPresent confidently to clients, consultants, and planning authoritiesDrive new business efforts, contributing to bids, pitches, and relationship buildingManage a project team, including resourcing, mentoring, and performanceOversee fee proposals, budgets, and commercial negotiationsRepresent the studio at industry events, meetings, and design reviewsLead coordination with consultants, contractors, and interior specialistsUphold the studio’s design standards, culture, and valuesSkills and ExperienceARB registered Architect 10+ years leading high end residential projects from concept to completion Proven work winning experience with excellent client facing skills Confident leading teams, managing resources, and setting workflowsStrong business development experience within the UK marketExcellent communication and presentation abilitiesStrong technical knowledge with an eye for detail and craftFamiliarity with London planning processesProficient AutoCAD, and Adobe Suite; Revit a bonus but not essentialThe right to live and work in the UK BenefitsHybrid working pattern 1 day a week from home, 37.5 hour week20 days holiday plus bank holidays and Christmas closurePrivate medical insuranceRIBA and ARB memberships covered Pathway to Directorship with shares in the company If you want a rare opportunity to lead design, win work, grow a team, and shape the future of a respected London studio, this opportunity is ideal.
