Position Summary We are seeking a dynamic individual to serve as 7th Grade English, Religion and Homeroom teacher for the 2026-2027 school year.The ideal candidate will create a challenging and structured classroom environment that supports the academic, social and spiritual growth of students while helping us build a culture of joy. Key Responsibilities ● Instruction and Curriculum Delivery: ○ Implement unit plans aligned with the curriculum and standards of the Archdiocese of Philadelphia ○ Foster critical thinking and active engagement, using best practices in teaching and learning ○ Utilize a variety of formative and summative assessment tools to drive instruction and maximize student outcomes ○ Accommodate student needs to support progress and success for all; participate in learning support meetings as needed. ● Classroom Management: ○ Maintain a respectful, safe and orderly classroom environment. ○ Use positive reinforcement strategies to encourage appropriate student behavior. ● Faith Formation: ○ Integrate Catholic teachings and values into daily lessons and classroom activities. ○ Prepare students for the Sacrament of Confirmation, creating service opportunities and faith formation. ○ Work with grade partner and music teacher to plan one monthly Mass ● Collaboration: ○ Communicate effectively with the Middle School Colleagues, School Principal, and parents to support student success. ○ Participate in faculty meetings and professional development opportunities as required. 116 S. Aberdeen Avenue, Wayne, PA 19087 (610) 688-5451 ○ Serve on committees and share building duties as needed and/or assigned Qualifications ● Bachelor’s degree in English Education or related field (Master’s degree preferred). ● Valid teaching certification, with experience teaching Middle School students preferred. ● Practicing Catholic strongly preferred, with a commitment to upholding the school’s mission and values. ● Experience with classroom technology and digital tools to enhance learning. ● Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills. ● Ability to teach multiple subjects a plus!!
