This individual may receive, sort, compound, process and prepare medication orders under the supervision of a pharmacist. They may prepare sterile products and will assist in the training of Pharmacy Intern 1. As the intern progresses, and demonstrates an increase in ability, the preceptor will grant increased responsibility. Other duties as assigned.</font></font></p><p></p><p><font face="Times New Roman"><font face="Times New Roman"> <br /><b> EDUCATION DESCRIPTION: </b></font></font></p><p>High School diploma or equivalent is required. Accepted to a doctor of pharmacy program at a degree granting institution or enrolled in their first year of a doctor of pharmacy program at a degree granting institution.</p><p></p><p><b style="font-size:1.6rem;background-color:transparent;font-family:'times new roman'">TRAINING DESCRIPTION: </b></p><p><font face="Times New Roman"><font face="Times New Roman">Must complete a competency checklist within three months of completing orientation and training sessions. <br /><br /><b> SPECIAL SKILLS DESCRIPTION: </b></font></font></p><p><font face="Times New Roman"><font face="Times New Roman">Ability to communicate effectively with other health care professionals and patients. Ability to prioritize responsibilities in order to optimize patient care and minimize adverse outcomes. <br /><br /><b> LICENSURE DESCRIPTION: </b></font></font></p><p><font face="Times New Roman"><font face="Times New Roman">Application for Wisconsin registration as a Pharmacy Technician is required by hire date and must be obtained within 12 months of hire.
