About the Role
We are seeking an exceptional Remote Chief Technology Officer (CTO) to join our client's thriving startup. Our client, a leading multi-asset liquidity and technology white-label solutions provider for brokerages and exchanges, is well-funded and boasts a team of over 100 talented individuals. Responsibilities: Manage the software engineering stream and sub-stream to ensure efficient project execution and product development. Oversee the day-to-day activities of the stream, sub-stream, and QA stream lead. Conduct performance reviews of the software engineering stream, sub-stream, and QA stream lead. Onboard and offboard software engineers, software engineers sub-stream, QA stream lead, and the QA engineer stream. Provide technical validation of the system requirements. Build comprehensive and multiple stages of testing, including manual, automatic, load, chaos, and regression testing. Assume responsibility for the stability of upcoming releases and the overall system stability. Control over the planned release development timeline. Control over system design and product architecture. Synchronize priorities with the Product Manager. Constantly improve CI/CD practices in the department, tech radar, technological stacks, and protocols and services. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and address technical challenges and opportunities. Synchronize with DevOps and Security departments. Report progress daily, weekly, and monthly to the Operational Committee. Obligatory: Strong knowledge and understanding of Go and PHP (8.0+), Unit/Integration/Feature-Testing. Minimum 3 years of commercial development on GO. At least 5 years' experience in a technology leadership role. Strong knowledge of software development methodologies, web application architecture, and database design. Understanding of architecture patterns/anti-patterns and their implementation. In-depth experience in distributed systems implementing a microservices architecture. In-depth experience in Docker, understanding The Twelve-Factor App principles Deep expertise in one of modern PHP frameworks: Laravel or Symfony. Experience with any message broker (NATS, Kafka, RabbitMQ, etc.). Experience with Redis In-depth experience with relational DBs: PostgreSQL and/or MySQL Strong communication and collaboration skills.
