An opportunity has arisen for an experienced AR/AP Supervisor to join a well-established, globally operating business. This role sits within the Group Finance Team and offers responsibility across multiple international locations, currencies, and time zones.
This position plays a key role in ensuring the smooth running of both Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable functions, alongside leading a small team and driving process improvements across the function.
Key Responsibilities include:
Accounts Receivable:
- Overseeing cash application and collections processes.
- Ensuring timely follow-up of overdue balances, working closely with operational teams.
- Managing customer queries and resolving disputes efficiently.
- Reviewing AR ageing and ensuring accurate, up-to-date commentary.
- Identifying and implementing improvements to enhance efficiency.
Accounts Payable:
- Supervising invoice processing, approvals, and vendor reconciliations.
- Ensuring timely and accurate processing of supplier invoices and employee expenses.
- Reviewing payment runs (including BACS, wires and credit cards).
- Maintaining strong supplier relationships and resolving discrepancies.
- Monitoring AP ageing and reporting on DPO.
- Supporting process improvements and automation initiatives.
Team Leadership & Wider Responsibilities:
- Leading, mentoring and developing a small AR/AP Team.
- Managing workloads and ensuring deadlines are consistently met.
- Acting as an escalation point for complex queries.
- Collaborating with internal stakeholders across the business.
- Contributing to short-term cash flow forecasting.
About You:
- Minimum 5 years’ experience across AR/AP, with supervisory experience.
- Strong understanding of end-to-end AR/AP processes and controls.
- Experience working with ERP systems.
- Advanced Excel skills (including pivot tables and lookups).
- Strong organisational and problem-solving abilities.
- Confident communicator with the ability to build relationships across the business.
