(PK9149) MACHINE OPERATOR - CORRUGATED PACKAGING - ROTATING SHIFTS WEST MIDLANDS SALARY: £12.77 an hour during initial training £15.10 an hour + 30% Shift Premium after successful completion of training £15.71 an hour + Shift Premium once multi‑skilled on an additional machine MONDAY TO FRIDAY: 6am until 2pm 2pm until 10pm (arrival at 1:50pm for paid 10 minute handover) SUNDAY TO THRUSDAY: 10pm until 6am (arrival at 9:50pm for paid 10 minute handover) Our client is a well-established and highly respected manufacturer within the corrugated and sustainable packaging sector, supplying bespoke packaging solutions to customers across a wide range of industries throughout the UK. They are currently looking for a reliable and hardworking Machine Operator to join their production department. This role offers training, clear progression and the opportunity to become multi-skilled across a range of machines. Training will begin on the corrugator with progression onto additional machinery once experienced. Key Responsibilities: Operate the corrugator safely and efficiently following full training Set up, run, monitor, and adjust machinery to meet production targets Progress to operating additional machines as part of a multi‑skilling programme Carry out quality checks to ensure products meet specification Identify and report faults, defects or maintenance issues promptly Follow all health, safety and housekeeping standards at all times Work collaboratively with colleagues during shift handovers Accurately complete basic production and quality records Requirements: Previous machine operating or manufacturing experience desirable but not essential Willingness to learn and become multi‑skilled Good attention to detail and quality standards Ability to work shifts reliably and on time Strong awareness of health and safety Team‑focused with good communication skills Positive attitude and strong work ethic Dependable and punctual Comfortable working in a fast‑paced production environment Flexible and open to training on new equipment
