MC Technical Recruitment is currently seeking to recruit an Accountant to support an engineering company specialising in the Renewable Energy industry. This role will play a key part in supporting day-to-day accounting activities while working closely with both the UK and international finance teams.
As an Accountant, you will be responsible for:
- General accounting duties, including entering information into SAP
- Creating and maintaining vendor master data
- Receiving, verifying, and posting invoices, purchase orders, and MIGOs
- Creating accrual objects for deferred and accrued expenses
- Creating and maintaining fixed asset master data
- Verifying invoices to be received (logistics and manual), reviewing down payments and clearing accounts
- Supporting intercompany reconciliations
- Assisting with cash flow forecasting
- Maintaining accurate paper and electronic filing systems
- Checking, posting, and clearing expense reports
- Verifying credit card statements
- Communicating refund values and resolving open items
- Other duties as required
To be considered for this role you should have:
- A degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, etc. or similar. (AAT / ACCA / CIMA)
- A minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar accounting role, ideally within an industrial or engineering-related environment
- Strong general accounting knowledge and ability to interpret financial statements
- Good Excel skills (tested during the selection process)
- Experience working with information systems; SAP experience is advantageous
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work accurately with financial data
