Job Summary
Responsible for the procurement of process equipment, construction and professional services of Capital Expenditure Projects (CAPEX)
Job Responsibilities
Obtain all the necessary information for the bidding process
Coordinate with Legal and Risk Management on final contractual terms
Coordinate bid process and pre-bid meetings schedule
Prepare and send bid packages for quotation
Major vendors evaluation and assessment
Bid analysis and recommendation
Negotiation of commercial terms: price, LDs, guarantees, warranties, payment terms, delivery time
Contract execution with vendors
Generate purchase orders in our ERP
Monitor and follow up the development of the project according to the contractual terms
Provide support to Accounting department to resolve payment discrepancies
Report savings obtained through negotiations
Establishing procedures for CAPEX Procurement and Plant Procurement personnel to assist in coordinating the group's efforts on capital projects
Responsible for reporting to Procurement and Technical management on current activities and status of all projects and contracts
On major projects, coordinate and manage CAPEX negotiators and expeditor
Qualifications
Bachelor degree in Engineering, Business, Supply Chain or related field
At least 3 years of experience in engineering projects for manufacturing companies (contractual side)
Building materials industry experience preferred
Familiarity with the purchasing process preferred
Knowledge of organizing and maintaining spreadsheets
Experience in effectively managing both internal and external relationships with cross-functional groups and suppliers
CPSM certification preferred
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
SAP experience preferred
Proficient with MS Word and Excel
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Excellent negotiation skills
Excellent analytical skills
Ability to listen and persuade others
Working Conditions
Capable of working in an open concept office environment
Physical Requirements
Requires walking, sitting, lifting, pushing, pulling, and climbing to a significant degree
Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or a negligible amount of force frequently
Job involves sitting most of the time, but also involves walking or standing for brief periods of time
