Private House Manager and Family PA Job
Our long term client is seeking an exceptional, highly organised and experienced House Manager & Family PA to oversee the smooth running of their busy private family home on the beautiful Estate in Hampshire (South Coast, boarding the The New Forest). This is a varied, fast paced and rewarding role, ideally suited to someone who enjoys creating order, anticipating needs and ensuring every aspect of family life runs seamlessly behind the scenes.
The successful candidate will become an integral part of the family's daily life, taking responsibility for both the household and family administration. No two days are the same and the role will involve everything from coordinating international travel, preparing for family guests and supporting private events, to managing household projects, overseeing contractors, organising children's schedules and assisting with day to day family logistics.
This is a hands on management role requiring excellent organisational skills, discretion and the ability to juggle multiple priorities with confidence. A proactive, solution-focused approach and the ability to work independently are essential.
Attention to detail, exceptional communication skills, a calm and professional manner, flexibility and a genuine passion for creating a welcoming and well organised family environment are all key qualities for this position.
Duties include but are not limited to:
Ensure the smooth day to day running of the household
Managing household staff, rotas and daily priorities
Liaising with estate teams, contractors and suppliers
Overseeing household maintenance and improvement projects
Maintaining household inventories and records
Assisting with the recruitment and onboarding of household staff
Managing complex personal and professional diaries for both Principals
Coordinating appointments and synchronising digital calendars
Organising domestic and international travel arrangements
Managing confidential family documentation including passports, licences and renewals
Handling confidential correspondence and administration
Supporting household finances and family administration where required
Coordinating school, sporting and social commitments for the children
Organising transport, appointments and weekly family logistics
Coordinating pet, pony and veterinary appointments as required
Managing guest visits and ensuring an exceptional guest experience
Supporting private dinners, family celebrations and entertaining
Assisting with sporting events and hosted occasions
Coordinating suppliers, catering, staffing and event logistics
Maintaining digital filing systems and household documentation
Creating efficient systems to support the smooth running of both the household and family
Being comfortable around children, dogs and horses
Days and Hours: Monday to Friday, typically 9.00am to 5.30pm, with flexibility around family requirements and occasional evenings and weekends
Salary: £55,000 - £65,000 gross per annum, depending on experience
