Job Description
- Oversee the preparation and review of statutory financial statements and reports.
- Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
- Lead and manage the financial accounting team to deliver timely and accurate outputs.
- Develop and implement financial controls and procedures to safeguard company assets.
- Collaborate with internal and external auditors during audits and reviews.
- Support budgeting and forecasting processes with accurate financial data.
- Provide financial insights and recommendations to senior management.
- Drive continuous improvement in financial systems and processes.
The Successful Applicant
A successful Head of Financial Accounting should have:
- A professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACA, ACCA, or CIMA).
- Strong technical knowledge of financial reporting and compliance standards.
- Proven leadership abilities to manage and motivate a finance team effectively.
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to communicate financial information clearly to non-finance stakeholders.
- Proven ability to deliver under tight deadlines and manage conflicting priorities
- Resilient, adaptable and comfortable working in a changing environment.
