SEMH Maths Teacher - Bradford

About the role:

Justteachers is seeking a dedicated Maths Teacher to join a specialist SEMH provision in the Bradford area on a long-term basis.

This full-time position is due to start in September, with shortlisting currently underway. The school provides a supportive and structured learning environment for pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, helping them to achieve both academically and personally.

Key Responsibilities:

• Planning and delivering engaging Maths lessons tailored to meet the individual needs of pupils with SEMH needs
• Creating a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes engagement and achievement
• Implementing behaviour management strategies and supporting pupils with emotional regulation
• Working collaboratively with pastoral teams, support staff and external agencies to ensure the best outcomes for learners

Pre-requisites:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification
  • Experience teaching Maths at secondary level
  • Previous experience working with pupils with SEMH needs or within an alternative provision setting is desirable
  • Strong classroom and behaviour management skills with the ability to build positive relationships with pupils
  • Two recent education or school-based references
