Responsibilities include:Planning and delivering high-quality, engaging lessons in line with the KS2 National CurriculumPreparing pupils for end-of-year expectations, including SATs and 11+ assessmentsUsing assessment effectively to monitor progress, inform planning, and raise attainmentCreating a structured and supportive classroom environment that promotes independence and resilienceProviding strong pastoral care, supporting pupils' emotional wellbeing alongside academic successMaintaining high expectations for behaviour and fostering a positive learning cultureWorking collaboratively with colleagues as part of the Upper KS2 teamCommunicating effectively with parents and carers to support pupil progressContributing to the wider life of the school and maintaining high professional standardsThe Ideal Candidate Will:Have strong KS2 teaching experience, ideally within Year 6Be confident in preparing pupils for SATs and 11+ assessmentsDeliver engaging and well-structured lessons that inspire learnersUse data effectively to support progress and close attainment gapsDemonstrate excellent behaviour management and high expectationsProvide outstanding pastoral support with a nurturing and empathetic approachThrive in a collaborative, reflective, and supportive team environmentAbout the SchoolThis independent primary school offers a nurturing and academically ambitious environment, with a strong focus on creativity, wellbeing, and holistic development.
