Job: CNC Lathe and Milling OperatorLocation: Swartz Creek, MIShift: 2nd shift 3-11Pay: $17-$23/hr depending on experience - plus 2.00 shift premium Do you have experience doing setups an CNC Machines? Can you read decimals and use calipers and mics with precision? Our client in Swartz Creek, MI is looking for someone with an eye for detail and a mechanical aptitude. Responsibilities:Prepare and operate CNC machines to perform tasks such as drilling, grinding, milling etc.Understand specifications of the task at hand and the desired result by reading blueprints, mechanical drawings etc.Translate instructions into computer commands so the machines can perform the correct functionPrepare and load raw materials and parts onto the machinesPrepare a test run to check if the machines produce outputs according to specificationsSet machines to complete full cycles to fabricate large number of partsSupervise the machines while they execute the tasks and make any necessary adjustments to produce a better resultInspect and measure finished products and compare them with requirements to determine if the process has been completed properlyCheck and maintain machinery daily to ensure functionality Requirements:Proven experience as CNC operator - YOU WILL BE TESTED ON READING DECIMALS, USING MICROMETERS AND CALIPERSSkill in operating CNC machinery and tooling as well as precision measurement toolsAbility to read and interpret mechanical documents and drawingsComputer savvy with basic understanding of computer programming and CAD/CAMMechanical aptitude and good math skillsA keen eye for detail and results-driven approachGood communication abilitiesHigh school diploma or equivalent; certificate or diploma in engineering or relevant discipline is a plus Why work for Qualified Staffing?We offer a fantastic benefits package to all of our employees.
