<p><strong>Engineering Manager </strong><br /><strong>Salary:</strong> £72,905 per annum<br /> <strong>Location:</strong> Walthamstow<br /> <strong>Job Type:</strong> Full-Time<br /> <br /><strong>The Opportunity for the Engineering Manager </strong><br />We are seeking an experienced and driven <strong>Engineering Manager</strong> to lead a busy, safety-critical depot operation in Walthamstow, working to Transport for London (TfL) standards.<br />This is a senior leadership role with full responsibility for engineering performance, compliance, fleet reliability, and team management.<br /> <br /><strong>Key Responsibilities of the Engineering Manager</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Lead and manage all engineering operations within the depot</li>
<li>Ensure full compliance with TfL, DVSA and Health & Safety regulations</li>
<li>Drive fleet reliability, availability, and presentation standards</li>
<li>Manage, mentor, and develop Supervisors and Technicians</li>
<li>Control budgets and identify opportunities to improve efficiency</li>
<li>Oversee maintenance planning, defect management, and audits</li>
<li>Act as the key point of contact for internal and external stakeholders</li>
</ul>
<p> <br /><strong>What you will need as Engineering Manager</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Proven experience as an Engineering Manager or Workshop Manager within PSV, Bus, Coach, or HGV environments</li>
<li>Strong understanding of TfL standards and regulatory compliance</li>
<li>Excellent leadership and team management skills</li>
<li>Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced environment</li>
<li>Strong commercial awareness and cost control experience</li>
<li>Relevant qualifications (NVQ Level 3, IRTEC or equivalent desirable)</li>
