This is an exciting opportunity to join a busy, professional team handling international airfreight imports for a wide range of customers.</p> <p style="color: #000000;font-family: Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;font-size: 11px"><strong>Salary:</strong> Up to <strong>£35,000</strong> (depending on experience)<br /><strong>Location:</strong> West Drayton<br /><strong>Hours:</strong> Monday to Friday, 09:00-17:30 (1 hour lunch)<br /><strong>Holiday</strong> &#8211; Generous <br /><strong>Pension</strong></p> <h3 style="color: #000000;font-family: Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif"><strong>The Role:</strong></h3> <p style="color: #000000;font-family: Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;font-size: 11px">You will be responsible for managing the end-to-end customs clearance process for air imports, ensuring all shipments are processed accurately and efficiently. The ideal candidate will have experience handling import customs entries and working within a UK freight forwarding environment.</p> <h3 style="color: #000000;font-family: Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif"><strong>Key Responsibilities:</strong></h3> <ul style="color: #000000;font-family: Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;font-size: 11px"> <li> <p>Completing customs entries for incoming airfreight shipments</p> </li> <li> <p>Liaising with HMRC, airlines, and ground handling agents</p> </li> <li> <p>Ensuring compliance with all relevant customs regulations</p> </li> <li> <p>Handling import documentation, such as AWBs and commercial invoices</p> </li> <li> <p>Communicating with clients and internal departments to provide updates and resolve queries</p> </li> <li> <p>Managing ETSF records and ensuring accurate job costing and invoicing</p> </li> </ul> <h3 style="color: #000000;font-family: Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif"><strong>Requirements:</strong></h3> <ul style="color: #000000;font-family: Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;font-size: 11px"> <li> <p><strong>Previous experience working for a UK freight forwarder</strong> <strong>is essential</strong></p> </li> <li><strong>You must have experience using ASM Sequoia to be considered for this role</strong></li> <li> <p>Strong knowledge of import customs clearance procedures</p> </li> <li> <p><strong>C</strong><strong>andidates with an air import operations background and strong customs knowledge will also be considered</strong></p> </li> </ul> <p style="color: #000000;font-family: Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;font-size: 11px">This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to join a supportive and growing company with a strong industry reputation.
