In this pivotal role, you will be at the forefront of improving the lives of children in care, working collaboratively with foster families and other professionals to ensure the best outcomes for vulnerable children. Your expertise will help to create a nurturing environment where children can thrive, fostering stability and emotional well-being.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Assessing the needs of children and young people in foster care.
Conducting comprehensive foster carer assessments and providing ongoing support.
Developing and implementing care plans tailored to individual children.
Working closely with multi-agency teams to coordinate services and interventions.
Ensuring compliance with statutory requirements and best practice guidelines.
To be successful in this role, you must possess the following qualifications and skills:
A recognized social work qualification (e.g., BA/MA in Social Work).
Registered with Social Work England.
Significant experience in children's social work, particularly in fostering or related fields.
Strong assessment and analytical skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
