About the Role
Johnson Service Group (JSG) is seeking a Business Development Manager- Server and Rack-Level Thermal Hardware. This will include high-efficiency fans, heat sinks, cold plates, manifolds, and integrated air-to-liquid cooling solutions.Â
Remote opportunity but Must live in the Seattle Washington Area.Â
Work Schedule: Monday-Friday - 8 hour days
Base Salary $130,000- 160,000 DOE
Overview:Â
You will meet with engineering, hardware program management, and sourcing teams to present thermal solutions, capture system requirements, and define next steps. You will translate platform needs into proposals, samples, and validation plans, and drive design-ins from concept through mass production (MP).
On a day-to-day basis, you will coordinate closely with R&D and manufacturing teams in Asia to keep engineering builds, validation schedules, and program timelines on track.
This role requires a highly motivated and aggressive business development mindset, a strong technical understanding of hyperscale server infrastructure, and the ability to build long-term relationships within the AI server and data center ecosystem.
Responsibilities
Conduct regular on-site meetings in the Seattle / Redmond area to present thermal hardware solutions, gather requirements, and advance design discussions.
Build long-term relationships through design reviews, technical meetings, lab visits, and industry events.
Translate customer requirements into technical proposals, quotations, and validation/sample plans.
Manage RFIs/RFQs, NDAs/MSAs, and supplier onboarding processes.
Drive design-in opportunities from concept through EVT/DVT/PVT and mass production (MP).
Coordinate closely with R&D and manufacturing teams in Asia regarding engineering builds, schedules, design changes, and escalations.
Track purchase orders, samples, and shipments while working with Operations, Supply Chain, and Quality teams to resolve issues.
Maintain accurate pipeline tracking, account plans, and forecasting within CRM systems.
Provide first-line technical and commercial support while escalating complex engineering issues to internal technical teams when needed.
Monitor hyperscale customer roadmaps, competitive activity, and cooling technology trends (air? liquid/hybrid cooling).
Provide product and market feedback to influence product roadmap, pricing strategies, and overall customer value proposition.
Required Experience
5+ years of experience in business development, sales, or account management within server hardware, data center infrastructure, or thermal solutions.
Experience working with hyperscale cloud providers, server OEMs, or ODMs.
Strong understanding of AI server or hyperscale data center hardware ecosystems.
Experience supporting RFI/RFQ processes, design validation cycles, and customer qualification processes.
Comfortable collaborating across global teams and Asia time zones when working with R&D and manufacturing teams.
Bachelorâs degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience).
Preferred Experience.
Experience selling server or rack-level cooling solutions, including fans, heat sinks, cold plates, liquid cooling systems, or related thermal hardware.
Familiarity with hyperscale product development cycles including EVT/DVT/PVT validation through mass production.
Experience managing complex enterprise customer relationships and technical design discussions.
Mandarin/English bilingual ability is a plus but not required.
