Senior Site Engineer — Norwich Pay rate -£350 – £400/day Hours per week - 44.5 hrs Contract type - Temporary (3 months+) Location - Norwich About the role Are you an experienced Site Engineer looking for your next challenge? Our client, a well-established construction business specialising in the build of electrical sub-stations, is looking for a Senior Site Engineer to join them on an initial 3-month temporary contract based in Norwich. With our client consistently winning new work in the region, there is strong potential for this contract to extend significantly — and for the right person, further long-term opportunities across other projects in the area. This is a varied, hands-on role with real responsibility. You will lead setting out, quality management, and temporary works on your section — working closely with the site agent to keep everything running to plan. What's on offer Competitive day rate of £350 – £400, depending on your level of experience An initial 3-month contract with strong potential to extend considerably Excellent opportunity to build a long-term relationship with a client who is continuously growing their workload in the area Potential for further work across multiple upcoming projects in the region Join a professional, well-resourced team delivering specialist sub-station construction Pay rate explained: The rate on offer ranges from £350 per day for those with solid civils setting-out experience, up to £400 per day for candidates who also bring temporary works expertise and/or additional qualifications such as SMSTS or HSG47. The more you bring to the table, the stronger your rate. What you'll be doing Setting out all types of civils works on a sub-station and clearly communicating project requirements to the team Taking ownership of quality management on your section, including creating and implementing Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs) Working closely with the site agent to ensure works are properly planned and resourced Taking responsibility for temporary works on the project — ensuring these are designed and implemented safely Completing procurement schedules and material take-offs What we're looking for Essential requirements: UK-based experience in a similar site engineering role Competent in setting out all civils works Ability to create and implement ITPs from drawings and specifications Experience completing procurement schedules and material take-offs Valid CSCS card relevant to the role Desirable nice to have Temporary Works Coordinator qualification SMSTS or SSSTS HSG47 Service Avoidance (Cat & Genny) Ready to apply?
