To strengthen our team, we are looking for a driven and entrepreneurial In Vitro Tissue Culture Lab Manager to further develop and optimize our laboratory.

What will you do?
As Lab Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of our in vitro tissue culture laboratory. You will ensure that production, quality, planning, and staffing are aligned to achieve optimal performance.

You will lead the laboratory team and serve as the primary point of contact for operational and organizational matters. In addition, you will play a key role in the continued professionalization and growth of the laboratory.

Your responsibilities:

• Lead and supervise a laboratory team of approximately 10 employees.
• Develop and monitor production schedules and laboratory capacity.
• Train, coach, and support employees, interns, and new team members.
• Maintain and improve quality standards, protocols, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
• Identify and resolve bottlenecks within production processes.
• Initiate and implement process improvements.
• Support R&D projects and the introduction of new plant species.
• Work closely with departments such as Sales, Purchasing, and Greenhouse Production.
• Ensure a safe, organized, and efficient working environment.

Who are we looking for?
We are looking for an enthusiastic professional who combines a strong biological background with excellent organizational and leadership skills.

You bring:

• Bachelor’s degree level (HBO) or equivalent working and thinking level.
• A degree in Biology, Biotechnology, Plant Sciences, Biomedical Laboratory Science (BML), or a related field.
• Experience with plant tissue culture.
• Previous leadership experience, or the ambition to grow into a managerial role.
• Strong organizational skills and a structured approach to work.
• A practical, hands-on mentality.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Good command of both Dutch and English.
