THE ROLE:
CABI regularly recruits practical technical support over the summer months. The role will provide assistance with the field season for its running UK biological control initiative in support of the delivery of its high-profile scientific research projects. This position is ideally suited to a dynamic individual, eager to support practical on the ground work while looking to gain an understanding of the principles of biological control as well as an insight into routine technical aspects of the experimental work involved to support an internationally recognised team in their scientific work in the field of biological control of invasive weeds. The role requires good organisational and communication skills and engagement with the scientific staff within the Invasives team.
WHAT YOU’LL DO:
You will be assisting with aspects of field and laboratory work supporting various projects within the weed biocontrol portfolio of the invasives team. You would also support awareness raising events and public engagements for individual projects as required.
