Students applying for membership will have previously taken or be currently enrolled in an approved CTE course. In addition, each organization may have its own criteria for membership.
Student Competition/ConferencesMembership in the student organization does not guarantee the student’s inclusion in any trips, conferences or competitions. In addition to existing required criteria, such as UIL No Pass/No Play rules and "active" membership, students must also meet the following criteria to be eligible to compete/travel.

Students submitting a request for exception must complete the process by the deadline designated by their advisor. This process should be completed prior to the dues deadline for the CTSO in question. Advisors and campus administrators will review the exception request and determine if guidelines are met. The CTSO exception form must be sent to the CTE Coordinator for review after campus approval. See the campus CTSO advisor for instructions.
