About the Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Estimating Engineer to join a well-established precision engineering business. The role offers the chance to contribute to high-value projects across aerospace, defence, medical, and other advanced manufacturing sectors, providing accurate costings and supporting efficient, cost-effective production.You’ll be working closely with engineering, procurement, and manufacturing teams to prepare cost estimates, bids, and BOMs. This is a varied and challenging role, ideal for someone with strong mechanical engineering knowledge and experience in the CNC precision engineering sector.Key Responsibilities:Prepare accurate cost estimates and quotations for customers.Compile bids and assist in agreeing contracts.Create routings and BOMs within ERP systems.Interpret technical drawings to define subcontracting needs and in-house processes.Skills & Experience Required:Minimum 3 years’ experience in cost estimating and BOM/routing creation within precision engineering (CNC).5+ years in technical positions in the precision engineering industry.Mechanical engineering qualification or equivalent experience.Strong technical understanding of manufacturing processes.This is an exciting opportunity to be joining a leading precision engineering business who have a full order book for the next 12 months manufacturing critical components for a range of industries.If the role sounds of interest click to apply and Kieran Evans will be in contact to discuss the finer details.
