Class 2 HGV Driver – Steel Deliveries (Altham)

We’re looking for experienced and reliable Class 2 (Cat C) Drivers to join a well-established local steel distribution company based in Altham. You’ll be delivering palletised steel products across the local area — typically 5–10 drops per day. The work is straightforward and steady, with no handball required — you’ll just need to ensure loads are safely strapped and secured. This is an ongoing, consistent role with immediate starts available for the right drivers. Both full-time and part-time hours are on offer, making it ideal for drivers looking for regular local work without long days away from home. What You’ll Be Doing Delivering palletised steel safely and efficiently to local customers. Carrying out vehicle checks and following all site safety procedures. Strapping and securing loads (experience with steel preferred). Working to a steady delivery schedule — no rush, no nonsense. Communicating professionally with customers and the transport team. What We’re Looking For Valid Class 2 (Category C) licence, CPC and Digi Tacho Card. Experience strapping and securing heavy or long loads (steel preferred). Reliable, professional, and safety-conscious approach. Good local knowledge of East Lancashire and surrounding areas. What You’ll Get Competitive pay: £13.15 basic – £19.15 overtime per hour (PAYE). Ongoing local work – no nights out, no long-distance runs. Choice of full-time (5 days per week) or part-time (1-3 days per week). Weekly pay – paid every Friday (when your timesheet’s in on time!).
