<p>We’re looking for a dynamic <strong>Engineering Manager </strong>to lead our Passenger and Driver Care team. In this role you will rebuild a team to ship customer and driver support automations, build AI assist features and lead certain integrations, while working with talented frontend, backend and AI engineers. <br><br>If you’re ready to bring your ideas, lead with impact, and rebuild a team to deliver the best support experience, hop on board for your next ride with Freenow.</p>

<li><strong>Ensure a sustainable delivery</strong> of your team while giving transparency, making pragmatic trade-offs and motivating the team with your positive energy</li>
<li><strong>Integrate and collaborate</strong> with other disciplines and other tech leads as one team</li>
<li><strong>Develop and improve processes and software development techniques</strong> together with your team</li>
<li><strong>Help your software engineers to grow</strong>: Help them with their weaknesses and foster their strengths, provide frequent feedback and set goals</li>
<li><strong>Foster autonomy</strong> in decisions and processes of your squad</li>
<li><strong>Work with the recruiting team</strong>: Not only on attracting but also on retaining and onboarding new team members</li>

<h2><strong>TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLE:</strong></h2>
<ul>
<li>You have a strong software engineering background, building software systems for multiple years, ideally with Java or Kotlin</li>
<li>You're familiar with financial processes such as charging customers, creating invoices, providing data to accounting</li>
<li>You possess strong leadership skills and can effectively guide and motivate your team</li>
<li>You are committed to continuous learning and professional growth, and you foster a culture of learning, knowledge sharing, and collaboration within your team.</li>
<li>Your way of communication is structured and transparent as well as polite but clear</li>
<li>You have a growth mindset and can quickly adapt to change</li>
<li>You are a creative problem-solver and enjoy finding innovative solutions to challenging engineering problems.</li>
<li>You are interested in leveraging LLMs to build the best customer and driver support experience</li>
<li>Excellent English communication skills (written and verbal)</li>
