<div> Job Title: Maintenance Superintendent – 2nd shift Location: Denison, Iowa Salary: $100K – 130K plus bonus Job Summary of the Maintenance Superintendent – 2nd shift: The Maintenance Superintendent will supervise and manage a team of Maintenance Supervisors on the 2nd shift to achieve daily goals and exceed expectations. Job Duties & Responsibilities of the Maintenance Superintendent – 2nd shift: · Enhance Operational Efficiency & Profitability by monitoring daily and weekly production yields, efficiencies, and profitability while implementing necessary corrective measures. · Supervise staffing and maintenance schedules to ensure customer requirements are met and resources are utilized efficiently. · Create and implement safety and ergonomic initiatives by providing training on safe work methods to employees. Identify hazards, address ergonomic issues, and strive for a workplace free of injuries. · Maintain sanitation, product quality, and customer service standards to comply with USDA and company guidelines. Through routine meetings, reinforce high standards and compliance expectations. · Educate supervisors and employees on company policies and procedures through line meetings. Drive continuous improvement efforts to enhance team performance and plant efficiency. · Provide effective leadership and guidance to production floor employees, ensuring teams are motivated, aligned, and focused on achieving operational objectives. Lead by example, offering guidance and support to foster a collaborative and efficient workplace. Education & Experience Requirements of the Maintenance Superintendent : <ul style="margin-top: 0in" type="disc"> <li class="MsoNormal" style="color: #494949;vertical-align: baseline">Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited four-year college or university and 3+ years’ relevant experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience, required.</li> <li class="MsoNormal" style="color: #494949;vertical-align: baseline">Experience in a leadership role providing training, coaching, or mentoring to junior staff or managing a process or project, required.</li> <li class="MsoNormal" style="color: #494949;vertical-align: baseline">Previous experience in food manufacturing is essential, with a preference for experience in meat processing or kill/harvest floor operations.</li> <li class="MsoNormal" style="color: #494949;vertical-align: baseline">Proficiency in working with PLCs and Ammonia Refrigeration systems.</li> <li class="MsoNormal" style="color: #494949;vertical-align: baseline">Skill in using various computer applications, such as time-keeping systems, SAP, and Microsoft Office tools, to streamline processes and improve productivity across the team.</li> <li class="MsoNormal" style="color: #494949;vertical-align: baseline">Willingness to travel occasionally, up to 10% of the time.</li> </ul> <ul style="margin-top: 0in" type="disc"> <li class="MsoNormal" style="color: #494949;vertical-align: baseline">Extensive Manufacturing Knowledge: Possess a strong understanding of </li> <li class="MsoNormal" style="color: #494949;vertical-align: baseline">Thorough Familiarity with Industry Regulations: Knowledgeable about OSHA standards, USDA requirements, and HACCP rules, ensuring adherence and upkeep of the highest safety and quality standards.</li> <li class="MsoNormal" style="color: #494949;vertical-align: baseline">Preferably bilingual in communication.</li> </ul> </div>
