<p><strong>Flexible afternoon hours – 12:00pm – 4:00pm</strong></p>
<p>Are you a reliable, hands-on individual looking for a part-time role within a busy manufacturing environment? We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established manufacturer in Calne for a Stores Operative to join their friendly and supportive team.</p>
<p>This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys a varied role, takes pride in being organised, and is happy carrying out manual handling duties while supporting the smooth running of the stores department. Initially offered on a temporary basis, there is the potential for the role to become permanent for the right person.</p>
<p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Picking and packing components accurately.</li>
<li>Preparing customer orders for dispatch.</li>
<li>Carrying out manual handling and lifting duties safely.</li>
<li>Booking stock in and out using the company’s computer system.</li>
<li>Updating orders and pick sheets.</li>
<li>Printing labels and delivery documentation.</li>
<li>Liaising professionally with customers and colleagues.</li>
<li>Maintaining a clean, organised and efficient stores area.</li>
<li>Supporting the wider production team when required.</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>The successful candidate will:</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Be reliable with excellent timekeeping and attendance.</li>
<li>Have previous experience within a stores, warehouse or logistics environment.</li>
<li>Be comfortable with manual handling and lifting.</li>
<li>Be PC literate and confident using computer systems.</li>
<li>Have good attention to detail and accuracy.</li>
<li>Be organised with the ability to prioritise workloads.</li>
<li>Enjoy working as part of a team whilst also being able to work independently.</li>
<li>Have a positive, proactive attitude and a strong work ethic.</li>
</ul>
