Hours: 42 hours per week (overtime paid after 38 hours)
Pay Rate: £14.50 per hour
Job Description
We are currently seeking an experienced and motivated Stores Person to join our clients warehouse operation in Wallsend. This is a day shift role offering stable hours and a competitive hourly rate. The successful candidate will have experience working in large warehouse environments and be comfortable using modern IT systems to support warehousing operations.
Key Responsibilities
-Carry out a range of warehouse, stores duties and stock control
-Use warehouse management systems (WMS), handheld scanners, and IT systems to maintain accurate stock records
-Support warehouse improvement and efficiency projects
-Maintain a safe, clean, and organised working environment
-Work effectively as part of a team to meet daily operational targets
Candidate Requirements
-Proven warehousing experience, preferably within large warehouse environments
-Experience working in multiple warehouse roles
-Knowledge of modern warehouse IT systems (WMS, scanners, computer-based stock systems)
-Previous involvement in warehouse projects or continuous improvement initiatives
-Good IT skills or a strong enthusiasm and willingness to learn new warehousing technologies
-Reliable, flexible, and able to work effectively within a team
