Autism Support Assistant – Milton Keynes

About the role:

Justteachers is recruiting an Autism Support Assistant for a specialist provision in Milton Keynes. This full-time role begins in September 2026 and focuses on supporting pupils with Autism Spectrum Condition to access learning and develop independence skills.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide tailored support for pupils with autism
• Implement communication and sensory strategies
• Support pupils during transitions and daily routines
• Work closely with teaching and therapy teams
• Monitor and record pupil progress

Pre-requisites:

• Experience supporting individuals with autism
• Understanding of autism-friendly approaches
• Patient and adaptable communication style
• Enhanced DBS on the update service or willing to obtain one
• Two references within the last two years from a related field
