Machine Operator / Production Operative

Abatec are supporting a leading business in the milling and food production sector. They specialise in producing high-quality food ingredients and operate a busy, modern production facility.

We are looking for a reliable Machine Operator / Production Operative to join the team. This role has become available due to growth within the production facility. The successful candidate can expect a long-term, stable position in a supportive and structured environment, with opportunities to develop skills across machinery operation and production processes.

Key responsibilities

• Operate machinery within a production environment
• Carry out general production and assembly duties
• Handle food products safely and hygienically
• Perform heavy lifting as part of daily tasks
• Occasional reach truck forklift operation (experience required)

About you

• Previous production or assembly experience is essential
• Comfortable with manual handling and heavier lifting
• Forklift reach truck licence is required
• Own transport is essential due to the location
• Positive attitude, reliable, and strong work ethic

• Rotating shifts: Monday to Friday 06:00–14:00 & Monday to Thursday 14:00–00:00
