About the Role
Stoke on Trent City Council Looking for Advanced/Senior Practitioner for their Court Team.
Payrate: -£38.00 p/h
Location:- Floor 1, Civic Centre, ST4 1RN
Roles and Responsibilities
Manage Care Proceedings from start to final hearing, including permanency planning for children and families.
Deliver high-quality assessments and case management, using evidence-based approaches to inform decision-making and ensure the best outcomes.
Work with manageable caseloads, supported by reflective supervision to ensure effective and timely delivery of services.
Provide mentorship and support to newly qualified social workers and students, helping to develop the next generation of professionals.
Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams, working closely with families, legal teams, and other professionals to ensure integrated support.
Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, including Working Together to Safeguard Children, ensuring all work meets legal and regulatory standards.
Complete detailed, evidence-based reports for court proceedings, presenting information clearly and concisely in line with statutory requirements.
Maintain a child-centred approach, focusing on the needs and best interests of children, while promoting restorative practices with families.
Contribute to city-wide transformation efforts, aiming to improve the outcomes for children and families in Bradford.
Actively participate in professional development, engaging in continuous learning, training, and reflective practice to enhance personal and team performance.
Essential Requirements:
Social Work Qualification - Degree or equivalent
At least 3 years' experience as a social worker within children's services
Social Work England Registration
Driving license and access to own vehicle
