Safety Coordinator

The Safety Coordinator is responsible for supporting and promoting a safe work environment by administering safety program, conducting employee training, monitoring safety performance metrics, and maintaining incident documentation. The role helps ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements while fostering a culture of workplace safety. 

Key Responsibilities

-Conducts new hire safety orientation and on-boarding training.

-Perform forklift operator evaluations and verify employee certification requirements.

-Track, maintain, and report Safety Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) on a weekly basis.

-Prepare and distribute safety reports to management and operational teams.

-Maintain accurate records of workplace incidents, injuries, near misses, and safety observations.

-Support safety audits, inspections, and compliance initiatives.

-Promote employee engagement in safety programs and best practices,

-Assist in identifying workplace hazards and recommending preventive measures.

-Ensue all safety documentation is maintained in accordance with company and regulatory standards.

 

Shift: 9:00 am to 5:00 pm Monday thru Friday

Pay: $25 dollars per hour

• Previous experience in a safety, environmental health and safety (EHS), or safety coordinator role preferred.
• Experience conducting employee on-boarding and safety training.
• Knowledge of forklift operations, evaluations, and certification processes.
• Experience tracking and reporting safety KPIs and metrics.
• Familiarity with incident reporting, root cause analysis, and corrective action management.
• Strong organizational, communication, and record keeping skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel and reporting tools.

Preferred Skills

• Knowledge of OSHA regulations and workplace safety standards.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
