About the Role
<p><span style="font-size: 16px"><strong>Plant Fitter</strong></span><br /><strong>Location:</strong> East Midlands (site-based, within 30 minutes of Burton-on-Trent/Swadlincote)<br /><strong>Salary:</strong> £45,000 – £52,000 + overtime + benefits</p>
<p>We are working with a well-established industrial business investing heavily in a new state-of-the-art facility. As part of this growth, they are looking to recruit an experienced <strong>Plant Fitter</strong> to join a small, close-knit maintenance team.</p>
<p><strong>The Role:</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Service, maintain and repair heavy plant machinery including shredders, trommels and loading shovels</li>
<li>Carry out inspections, fault finding and diagnostics using modern equipment</li>
<li>Complete mechanical repairs, part replacements and adjustments to ensure operational efficiency</li>
<li>Use hand tools, power tools, welding equipment and electrical testing tools</li>
<li>Maintain accurate service records and daily job logs</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>About You:</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Proven experience working on heavy plant or similar machinery</li>
<li>Experience within waste, recycling or similar environments beneficial</li>
<li>Welding experience advantageous</li>
<li>Time served with recognised engineering qualifications</li>
<li>Strong work ethic with good communication skills</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Working Environment:</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Mix of workshop and outdoor work in varying conditions</li>
<li>Involves manual handling, working at height and exposure to industrial environments</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Package:</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Monday to Friday, 47.5 hours per week (10 Hour Days)</li>
<li>Overtime available, including weekends paid at enhanced rates</li>
<li>22 days holiday plus bank holidays</li>
<li>Company pension scheme</li>
