Senior Azure Data Engineer

We are looking for an experienced Senior Azure Data Engineer to join our Global IT team. In this role, you will design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and architectures within our Data & Analytics platforms. You will collaborate with Product Owners, Project Managers, Scrum Masters, and business teams to deliver high-quality data solutions that support key strategic initiatives. As part of our IT transformation, you will help shape the future of our data infrastructure. ResponsibilitiesDevelop and maintain scalable data pipelines using Azure Data Factory, Databricks, and Synapse. Design data models and optimize data storage (Azure SQL, Data Lake). Improve pipeline performance and optimize Azure resource usage. Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, DevOps, and business stakeholders. Troubleshoot data quality, pipeline, and integration issues; ensure system reliability. Automate processes using Azure Functions and Logic Apps; stay updated on new Azure tools. Prepare technical documentation and report on platform performance. QualificationsBachelor’s/Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, IT, or related field. 10+ years of experience as Senior Azure Data Engineer or Consultant. Strong expertise in data engineering, ETL/ELT, and data architecture. Hands-on experience with Azure Data Factory, Databricks, Synapse, Data Lake. Proficient in SQL Server, Cosmos DB, and other relational/noSQL databases. Knowledge of data governance, privacy, and security standards. Experience with CI/CD, automation, and IaC (ARM, Bicep, Terraform). Soft SkillsExcellent communication, analytical thinking, and problem-solving abilities. Strong collaboration skills; experience working in Agile environments. Ability to adapt to multiple projects and changing priorities.
