Connect Appointments is recruiting a Sewing and Laundry Operative to join an established business based in Livingston on a temporary ongoing basis.

What’s on offer?

• Ongoing temporary position
• Monday to Thursday, 8am to 4:30pm and Friday, 6:30am to 3pm
• £12.71 per hour during probationary period, rising to £12.81 per hour on completion

Our client operates a busy commercial laundry facility, requiring a reliable and detail-oriented operative to handle both sewing and laundry duties.

As a Sewing and Laundry Operative, your duties will include:

• Operating industrial sewing machines to process and repair items
• Sorting through various forms of linen
• Operating laundry machinery including washing machines and irons
• Conducting quality checks on finished and washed items
• Storing and packing linen ready for transport

To be considered as a Sewing and Laundry Operative, you will need:

• Previous experience using industrial sewing machines
• The ability to maintain high levels of accuracy and attention to detail
• A reliable approach to work, both independently and as part of a team
