<p>On behalf of our client, a technically focused engineering and manufacturing business based in Letchworth, we are recruiting a Project Assistant to support live projects and operations, with a clear and structured pathway into Project Management.</p>
<p>This is a development-focused role, aimed at individuals with experience around technical products, a strong engineering / lean mindset, and the ambition to progress into a Junior Project Manager position within 18-24 months.</p>
</p>
<p>The Role</p>
<ul>
<li>75% project support / 25% warehouse & manufacturing support</li>
<li>Supporting Project Managers across technically complex projects</li>
<li>Coordinating equipment deliveries and raising orders on internal systems</li>
<li>Managing invoicing, variations, and subcontractor bookings</li>
<li>Arranging internal handovers and project meetings (agenda & minutes)</li>
<li>Supporting RAMS, health & safety documentation, and O&M packs</li>
<li>Handling client queries and customer service emails</li>
<li>Reviewing and improving processes, procedures, and documentation</li>
</ul>
<p>Operational / Warehouse Support</p>
<ul>
<li>Receiving, labelling, moving, and storing deliveries</li>
<li>Occasional lifting, pallet movement, and warehouse organisation</li>
<li>(Candidates must be comfortable with a hands-on, physical element)</li>
</ul>
<p>Candidate Profile</p>
<ul>
<li>Experience working with technical or engineering-led products</li>
<li>Strong engineering or lean mindset</li>
<li>Full right to work without the need for sponsorship</li>
<li>Highly organised with excellent time management</li>
<li>PM-style thinking: ownership, coordination, accountability</li>
<li>Strong admin, IT, and numerical skills</li>
<li>Confident communicator and team player</li>
<li>Electrical exposure or FLT/telehandler licence beneficial but not essential</li>
</ul>
<p>Salary, Benefits & Progression</p>
<ul>
<li>£35,000 basic salary</li>
<li>Mobile phone costs covered</li>
<li>Company-provided lunch for all office-based employees</li>
<li>Hours: 07:30-17:00 (flexible to suit the candidate)</li>
<li>Holiday: 22 days plus Bank Holidays</li>
<li>Increasing by 1 day per year of service (up to a maximum of 25days)</li>
</ul>
<p>Career Path</p>

<li>Progression to Junior Project Manager within approximately 18 months</li>
<li>Salary progression to £50-55k, rising to £65k+ with experience</li>
</ul>
