<p><strong>Small Animal Veterinary Surgeon – Independent Practice, South Hampshire</strong></p>

<p>We’re looking for an experienced <strong>Small Animal Vet Surgeon</strong> to join our friendly team in <strong>South Hampshire</strong>. One of our long-standing vets is heading off to sunnier skies after 5 wonderful years, and we’re now on the lookout for someone just as brilliant to step into their shoes.</p>

<h3><strong>About the Practice</strong></h3>
<p>We’re a proudly <strong>independent first opinion practice</strong> offering our <strong>own out-of-hours service</strong> and a truly supportive, collaborative team culture. You’ll have access to great facilities, modern equipment, and genuine clinical freedom to work cases your way — all while being part of a team that values balance and wellbeing.</p>

<p><strong>Digital X-ray, ultrasound, ECG and endoscopy</strong></p>

<p>Dedicated <strong>surgical theatre</strong> for both soft tissue and orthopaedic work</p>

<p>Fully equipped <strong>dental suite</strong></p>

<p>Separate <strong>dog and cat wards</strong>, plus an <strong>isolation suite</strong> for critical care</p>

<p><strong>On-site accommodation</strong> available for inpatient and on-call support</p>

<p>We’re known for our consult-inclusive health plans, <strong>20-minute consultations</strong>, and a genuine focus on providing thoughtful, high-quality veterinary care for our patients and clients alike.</p>

<h3><strong>The Role</strong></h3>
<ul>

<p><strong>Full-time, 4 days per week</strong></p>
<li>
<p><strong>OOH rota:</strong> 1:4 maximum (typically closer to 1:6)</p>
<li>
<p><strong>On-site accommodation</strong> available for on-call work</p>
<li>
<p><strong>No micromanagement</strong> – genuine clinical autonomy</p>

<p>We’re looking for a small animal vet with solid all-round experience who enjoys a mix of consults, surgery and case continuity. You’ll be comfortable working in a friendly, supportive environment where collaboration and communication matter just as much as clinical skill.</p>
