About the Role

A leading medical center is seeking additional neurologists to join its growing and dynamic Department of Neurology. As a Thrombectomy Capable Stroke Center, the program offers excellent hospital support, advanced facilities, and a strong patient base. With the recent closure of a nearby hospital, patient volume has significantly increased, creating an even greater need for specialized neurological care.<br><br>The neurology team is expanding it's existing team, adding new specialists to complement its existing group of four. The current team includes an interventional neurologist performing thrombectomies and a second neurosurgeon joining soon. The team also consists of a neurohospitalist, while three outpatient neurologists provide inpatient call on weekends.<br><br>The program is actively recruiting for the following positions:<br>• Neurohospitalist (7-on/7-off schedule)<br>• General Outpatient Neurologist with sub-specialty clinics in the following:<br> o Dementia Specialist<br> o Movement Disorders/Parkinson’s Specialist (will be the only one in the region)<br> o Multiple Sclerosis Specialist<br> o Neuromuscular/EMG Specialist (supported by five dedicated EMG technicians)<br><br>Program Highlights:<br>• Thrombectomy-Capable Stroke Center<br>• High patient volume due to a neighboring hospital closure<br>• Collaborative team environment with growing subspecialty support<br>• Advanced neurology facilities and a strong referral base<br>• Visa Sponsorship:<br>• H-1B visa sponsorship available<br>• Located within the Appalachian Regional Commission<br><br>This opportunity is based in a vibrant Tri-State community, offering a low cost of living, excellent schools, and abundant outdoor recreation.
