Job Overview:
We are seeking a Sr. Engineering Manager to lead a high-performing engineering team focused on building and launching innovative financial technology solutions. This role partners closely with product, design, and cross-functional stakeholders to deliver scalable, reliable, and customer-focused software products from concept through production.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with product management, design, and business stakeholders to understand business objectives, growth initiatives, and market opportunities
- Lead and mentor engineering teams while fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement
- Drive technical strategy, architecture decisions, and execution for large-scale distributed systems and applications
- Promote engineering best practices, automation, operational excellence, and process optimization across the software development lifecycle
- Establish clear team goals, expectations, and performance metrics while supporting professional development and career growth
- Ensure delivery of high-quality, scalable, and maintainable software solutions in a fast-paced environment
- Partner with leadership teams to prioritize initiatives, manage technical roadmaps, and align engineering efforts with organizational goals
- Encourage experimentation, creative problem-solving, and continuous learning within the engineering organization
Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience managing software engineering teams within high-performing technology organizations
- 8+ years of experience in software development, system design, and technical delivery across complex and highly visible platforms
- Proven experience building and managing large-scale software applications in fast-paced, high-growth environments
- Strong understanding of modern software architectures, distributed systems, and cloud-native technologies
- Hands-on familiarity with technologies such as Java, Spring Boot, Microservices, AWS, PostgreSQL, Kafka, and Kubernetes
- Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
- Demonstrated ability to drive execution, influence cross-functional teams, and deliver impactful technical solutions
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field preferred
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience designing platforms within fintech, banking, lending, trading, or other regulated industries
- Experience working with complex datasets, analytics platforms, or data visualization tools
- Background in highly scalable, customer-facing software products and cloud infrastructure environments
