Are you an experienced Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer looking to join a food manufacturing company based in Wellingborough? You will have experience of working within a FMCG environment and play a key part in minimising downtime, supporting continuous improvement, and ensuring a safe and efficient working environment. Offering a salary of up to c£47,000 working Monday - Friday - no nights & no weekends.
Hours of work:
(Week 1) 6am - 2pm
(Week 2) 2pm - 10pm
(Week 3) 8am - 4pm

As a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer your role will involve:
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) tasks in accordance with maintenance schedules
- Respond quickly to equipment breakdowns to minimise production downtime
- Diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical faults on manufacturing and packaging equipment
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment reliability and performance
- Perform root cause analysis and implement effective corrective actions
- Maintain accurate maintenance records using the company's CMMS system
- Assist with the installation and commissioning of new equipment and machinery
- Ensure compliance with food safety, health & safety, and engineering standards
- Work closely with Production, Quality, and Operations teams to achieve business objectives
Suitable Candidate:
- Apprentice trained (NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds, BTEC or equivalent)
- Experienced within manufacturing environments
- Strong electrical and mechanical fault-finding skills
- Experience with motors, sensors, inverters, conveyors, pneumatics
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and electrical schematics
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
Desirable
- Previous experience in food, FMCG, packaging, or process manufacturing
- PLC fault-finding experience
- Knowledge of continuous improvement methodologies
- 18th Edition qualification
- Experience using CMMS software
