About the role:

A welcoming and ambitious primary school in Peterborough is seeking an enthusiastic and committed Year 6 Teacher to join their team from September 2026 on a full-time basis. This is an exciting opportunity to support pupils during a crucial stage of their primary education, helping them to achieve their full potential as they prepare for the transition to secondary school.

Key Responsibilities:

• Full-time Year 6 Teacher
• Deliver engaging and challenging lessons across the Key Stage 2 curriculum
• Prepare pupils effectively for SATs whilst maintaining a broad and balanced curriculum
• Assess, monitor and support pupil progress to ensure strong outcomes
• Create a positive, inclusive and supportive classroom environment
• Contribute to school events, enrichment opportunities and wider school life

Pre-requisites:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
• Experience teaching within Key Stage 2, ideally Year 6
• Strong knowledge of the primary curriculum and assessment requirements
• Excellent classroom management and organisational skills
• Commitment to raising achievement for all pupils
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
