Head of Service Development

<p><strong>Head of Service Development needed in Worcester Paying  £44.75 per hr ref RQ1747130</strong></p> <p><strong>Full time hours on a temporary basis</strong></p> </p> <p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></p> <ul> <li>Lead the development and delivery of the procurement strategy for future waste disposal arrangements.</li> <li>Provide expert advice on waste management, disposal infrastructure, procurement routes and market engagement.</li> <li>Oversee the planning, governance and delivery of a major procurement programme from strategy through to contract award.</li> <li>Build and maintain effective relationships with partners, advisors, government agencies and private sector organisations.</li> <li>Secure and coordinate the resources required to deliver programme objectives.</li> <li>Facilitate and support strategic decision-making through established governance frameworks.</li> <li>Identify, manage and mitigate programme risks, ensuring effective controls are in place throughout delivery.</li> <li>Lead the production of high-quality reports, business cases, policy papers and presentations for senior stakeholders.</li> <li>Present complex information and recommendations to executive leaders, boards, committees and external stakeholders.</li> <li>Ensure compliance with procurement legislation, regulatory requirements and best practice in waste management.</li> <li>Drive programme delivery against agreed budgets, timescales and outcomes.</li> <li>Work collaboratively with operational teams and subject matter experts to ensure successful implementation.</li> </ul> <p> </p> <p>If you are interested in the role, please email your CV to verity@essentialemploy.co.uk quoting the reference number. </p> <p>Essential Employment is acting as an Employment Business in relation to this vacancy.
