<p>Our client is seeking an experienced and motivated <b>Workshop Manager / MOT Tester</b> to lead a team of skilled Technicians at their busy automotive workshop in Uxbridge.</p>
<p>This key leadership role is responsible for overseeing the efficient day-to-day operations of the workshop, maintaining high technical standards, and ensuring an outstanding customer experience. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong leadership capabilities, a proactive approach to problem-solving, and a commitment to driving performance within a fast-paced automotive environment.</p>
<p><b>Remuneration and Benefits:</b></p>

<p><b>Key Responsibilities:</b></p>
<ul>
<li><b>Team Leadership:</b> Lead, mentor, and motivate a team of Technicians to achieve high levels of productivity, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.</li>
<li><b>Workshop Operations:</b> Plan, schedule, and allocate workshop jobs effectively based on Technician skill sets, technical requirements, and operational priorities.</li>
<li><b>Operational Compliance:</b> Ensure full compliance with all health and safety regulations, MOT standards, and company quality procedures.</li>
<li><b>Customer Experience:</b> Collaborate closely with the front-of-house team to ensure clear and accurate communication with customers regarding diagnostics, repair options, and completion timelines.</li>
<li><b>Performance Management:</b> Monitor workshop performance metrics and identify opportunities to improve efficiency, service quality, and overall profitability.</li>
</ul>
<p><b>Essential Skills and Experience:</b></p>
<ul>
<li>Level 3 qualification in <b>Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair</b> (or equivalent technical experience).</li>
<li>Valid <b>MOT Tester licence.</b></li>
<li>Proven leadership or supervisory experience within an automotive workshop environment.</li>
<li>Excellent organisational, communication, and interpersonal skills.</li>
<li>Demonstrated ability to meet and exceed operational targets and KPIs.</li>
<li>Strong understanding of automotive compliance standards and workshop management systems.</li>
<li>Full, valid UK driving licence.</li>
