<strong>Qualified Social Worker - Support and Protect Team</strong><br><ul><li>£45.00 + £100 weekly travel expenses</li><ul><li>Carlisle, Cumbria</li><li>37 hours p/w</li><li>Hybrid, 2 days work from home</li></ul></ul><br><strong>About the role:</strong><br>We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate qualified social worker to join a Support and Protect team based in Carlisle, Cumbria. You will be working with children and families on a short- longer term basis, completing assessments and working across the thresholds of Child in Need and Child Protection.<br><br>Key Responsibilities:<br><ul><li>Undertake statutory assessments under the Children Act 1989, including Child & Family Assessments.</li><ul><li>Manage a caseload of children subject to Child in Need, Child Protection Plans, and care proceedings.</li><li>Complete risk assessments and develop outcome-focused care and safety plans.</li><li>Initiate and progress Public Law Outline (PLO) and court proceedings where necessary.</li><li>Prepare high-quality reports for Initial and Review Child Protection Conferences, Core Group meetings, and court.</li><li>Work in partnership with children, families, and multi-agency professionals to safeguard children and promote welfare.</li><li>Undertake direct work with children to understand and reflect their voice in all assessments and planning.</li><li>Ensure accurate, timely, and evidence-based recording in line with statutory requirements and local policy.</li><li>Participate in duty rota and respond to safeguarding concerns as required.</li><li>Attend regular supervision and contribute to team development and service improvement initiatives.</li></ul></ul><br><strong>What you need:</strong><br><ul><li>A degree in Social Work or equivalent</li><ul><li>Registered with Social Work England</li><li>At least 3 years PQE direct employment within English Local Authorities</li><li>Completed relevant post-qualifying training</li><li>Enhanced DBS check</li><li>Excellent communication and written skills</li></ul></ul><strong> </strong><br><strong> </strong><br><strong>Why Work with Pertemps Social Care?</strong><br><strong> </strong><br>We’re committed to making your job search seamless and rewarding.
