Our client is looking for a Regular Software Tester who will be responsible for testing software running on physical devices and hardware platforms. Due to the nature of the testing activities, this role requires on-site work with direct access to the equipment being tested.
We are seeking a detail-oriented, technically minded, and self-sufficient professional who is comfortable working with hardware environments and Linux-based systems.
Responsibilities:
- Perform manual testing of software running on physical devices and machines
- Verify the correct operation of hardware, interfaces, and hardware integrations
- Execute functional, regression, and integration tests
- Report defects and collaborate closely with the development team
- Analyze system logs and perform basic troubleshooting
- Prepare and maintain test documentation
- Cooperate with the technical support team
Requirements:
- At least 1 year of experience in manual software testing
- Practical knowledge of Linux operating systems
- Familiarity with version control systems such as Git and Bitbucket
- Experience using bug tracking and reporting tools (e.g., Jira)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- High level of accuracy and ability to work independently
Nice to Have:
- Basic Linux terminal/command-line skills
- Experience working with hardware or embedded devices
- Experience in the gaming, embedded, or hardware industries
- Familiarity with CI tools (e.g., Bitbucket Pipelines)
- Basic knowledge of test automation
- Understanding of SQL fundamentals
