Clinical Pharmacist Compensation
- The pay for this position is $64.27 per hour
- Benefits are available to full-time employees after 90 days of employment
- A 401(k) with a company match is available for full-time employees with 1 year of service on our eligibility dates
Clinical Pharmacist Highlights
- This position is a contract assignment with potential to hire on permanently based upon attendance, performance, and business needs
- The required availability for this position is Monday–Friday with rotating shifts (8:00 AM–5:00 PM, 8:30 AM–5:30 PM, or 9:00 AM–6:00 PM) plus required evening and weekend on-call coverage
- Overtime available as needed
- Must have flexibility to work all schedules
Clinical Pharmacist Responsibilities
- Evaluate and monitor drug therapy for home infusion patients in collaboration with physicians, nurses, and healthcare teams
- Review referrals for appropriateness including drug, dose, route, and lab values
- Manage new patient admissions, refills, and medication reconciliation
- Monitor lab-dependent therapies and clinical outcomes
- Provide patient counseling and drug information to patients, families, and providers
- Enter prescriptions accurately and ensure proper documentation and billing adjudication
- Prepare, verify, and dispense sterile compounded medications per USP standards
- Ensure proper labeling, lot tracking, and compliance with regulatory standards
- Maintain clean room operations in compliance with USP 797/800 guidelines
- Supervise pharmacy technicians and support pharmacy workflow
- Maintain inventory, documentation, and quality assurance processes
- Coordinate care with providers, nurses, and internal pharmacy teams
- Participate in clinical monitoring, audits, and continuous improvement initiatives
Clinical Pharmacist Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy required; PharmD preferred
- Active Registered Pharmacist license in good standing
- Must have home infusion experience
- 1+ year of experience in home infusion or acute care pharmacy setting
- Experience with sterile compounding (TPN, antibiotics, hydration, etc.)
- Strong clinical knowledge of pharmacotherapy and patient monitoring
- Ability to work on-call evenings and weekends as scheduled
- Strong communication, organization, and time management skills
- High School Diploma or GED
- Attendance is mandatory for the first 90 days
Clinical Pharmacist Preferred Qualifications
- Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree
- Experience with CPR+ or similar pharmacy systems
- Experience in USP 797/800 regulated environments
- Prior leadership or supervisory experience in pharmacy settings
- Quality assurance or home infusion clinical experience
