(PK9245)</strong></p><p><strong>QSHE &amp; COMPLIANCE MANAGER - SINGLE SITE</strong></p><p><strong>COMMUTABLE FROM STAFFORDSHIRE / NORTH BIRMINGHAM / DERBYSHIRE / CHESHIRE </strong></p><p><strong>&#163;Competitive Salary (Please Contact me for Further Details) + 23 Days Holiday + Health Plan + Life Assurance </strong></p><p><strong>HOURS OF WORK: MONDAY TO FRIDAY - 8.30am till 5pm (30mins Lunch)</strong> </p><p>Our client is a specialist corrugated packaging manufacturer based in the Midlands. They supply their clients with digital, screen and litho printed specialist packaging products and point of sale displays. </p><p>They are currently looking for an experienced QSHE &amp; Compliance Manager to lead and manage all aspects of Health &amp; Safety, Quality and accreditation across the business. You will be responsible for ensuring legal compliance, maintaining certification standards and embedding a culture of safety, quality and continuous improvement through the site.</p><p><strong>Key Responsibilities:</strong></p><ul><li>Lead all Health &amp; Safety activities across the site</li><li>Ensure full compliance with UK legislation, including PUWER and implementation of safe systems of work</li><li>Manage risk assessments, audits, incident investigations and corrective action processes</li><li>Oversee the safe operation of high-risk equipment including cutting &amp; pressing machinery</li><li>Promote and embed a proactive, positive safety culture across the organisation</li><li>Maintain and continuously develop the ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System</li><li>Lead internal audits, drive corrective actions and continuous improvement initiatives</li><li>Collaborate with Operational teams to ensure consistent product quality standards</li><li>Support root cause analysis to reduce waste, defects and rework</li><li>Manage and maintain certifications including BRCGS Packaging, FSC Chain of Custody, and other relevant standards</li><li>Lead external audits and ensure ongoing audit readiness across the site</li><li>Maintain compliance documentation, systems, and records</li><li>Act as the primary point of contact for Certification Bodies and External Auditors</li><li>Provide expert guidance and support to Management and Operational teams</li><li>Develop internal capability to strengthen compliance and reduce reliance on key people</li><li>Drive continuous improvement across all Quality, Safety, Health, and Environmental (QSHE) activities</li></ul><p><strong>Requirements:</strong></p><ul><li>Proven experience in a QSHE, Health &amp; Safety, or Quality leadership role within a manufacturing environment</li><li>Strong understanding of UK Health &amp; Safety legislation and best practice</li><li>Experience managing ISO 9001, with exposure to BRCGS Packaging and FSC Chain of Custody desirable</li><li>NEBOSH (or equivalent) qualification</li><li>Strong leadership with a high level of ownership and accountability</li><li>Excellent communication and influencing skills across all levels of the business</li><li>Ability to operate independently and make sound decisions</li><li>High attention to detail with a structured, methodical approach</li><li>Strong problem-solving capability</li><li>Continuous improvement mindset with a proactive approach</li><li>Demonstrable track record of maintaining compliance and successfully passing external audits (BRCGS, ISO, FSC)</li><li>Evidence of reducing incidents, near misses, and improving safety performance</li><li>Experience improving quality performance and reducing waste/rework</li><li>Ability to maintain audit readiness and robust management systems</li></ul>
