Boiler Engineer / Steam Plant EngineerTipton | £50,000 | Rotating ShiftsThe OpportunityWe are seeking an experienced Boiler Engineer to join a successful manufacturing business in Tipton. You'll be responsible for the safe and efficient operation, maintenance, and reliability of the site's boiler and utility systems, supporting overall plant performance and uptime.<br><br>Shift Pattern<strong>Monday to Friday Rotating Shifts:</strong><br><br><ul><li>5:00am – 2:00pm<br><br></li><ul><li>1:00pm – 10:00pm<br><br></li><li>9:00pm – 6:00am<br><br></li></ul></ul>Key Responsibilities<ul><li>Operate, monitor, and maintain steam boilers and associated plant equipment<br><br></li><ul><li>Carry out planned preventative and reactive maintenance activities<br><br></li><li>Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults<br><br></li><li>Ensure compliance with boiler safety regulations and statutory requirements<br><br></li><li>Complete maintenance records and work orders through the CMMS system<br><br></li><li>Support plant shutdowns, inspections, and improvement projects<br><br></li><li>Monitor utility performance and identify opportunities for efficiency improvements<br><br></li><li>Follow Permit to Work procedures and site safety standards<br><br></li></ul></ul>About You<ul><li>Previous experience as a Boiler Engineer, Steam Plant Engineer, Utilities Engineer, Boiler House Operator, or similar<br><br></li><ul><li>Strong knowledge of steam generation and boiler systems<br><br></li><li>Mechanical maintenance experience within an industrial or manufacturing environment<br><br></li><li>Excellent fault-finding and problem-solving skills<br><br></li><li>Understanding of boiler compliance, safety standards, and statutory inspections<br><br></li></ul></ul>Desirable<ul><li>BOAS qualification<br><br></li><ul><li>Mechanical or Electrical Engineering qualification<br><br></li><li>Experience with water treatment and site utilities<br><br></li></ul></ul>What's on Offer?<ul><li>£50,000 salary<br><br></li><ul><li>Monday to Friday rotating shifts<br><br></li><li>Stable and growing business<br><br></li><li>Supportive engineering team<br><br></li><li>Career development opportunities<br><br></li></ul></ul>Apply NowIf you have experience operating and maintaining steam and boiler systems and are looking for your next engineering challenge, we'd love to hear from you.
