Seeking: Journeyman Plumber for Hire ] YOUR TRUSTED HOME SERVICE EXPERTS SEEKING: JOURNEYMAN PLUMBER FOR HIRE Summary: The Plumber is responsible for installing, repairing and maintaining pipes, fixtures and other plumbing used for water distribution and waste water disposal in residential, commercial and industrial buildings. Apply Now Qualifications: Must have minimum 2 years of Journeyman Plumber Experience The Plumber must have a Journeyman Certification in Plumbing from recognized and accredited post-secondary institution. (St. Louis City and County License) Responsibilities: Review building plans and specifications to determine the layout for plumbing and related materials Identify required tools and special equipment Select the type and size of pipe required Locate and mark positions for connections and fixtures Install supports and hangers for pipe, fixtures and equipment Assemble and install valves and fittings Install, repair and maintain water treatment equipment, piping and controls Install, repair and maintain underground storm sanitary and water piping systems Install, repair and maintain sinks, tubs and toilets Install, repair and maintain water heaters and conditioners Install, repair and maintain plumbing fixtures, appliances and trim Test pipe systems and fixtures for leaks Perform scheduled maintenance service on plumbing systems and fixtures Apply all codes to installations, repairs and maintenance Ensure all requirements as specified by the manufacturer of systems and fixtures are met Ensure all installations, repairs and maintenance are properly sized, aligned, supported and graded Ensure all installations, repairs and maintenance meet the requirements of the appropriate codes Ensure all installations, repairs and maintenance meet environmental protection requirements Safety: Must consider safety one’s primary job, both for personal, co‑worker and public benefit, and must have general knowledge of safe working practices and of MO‑OSHA requirements. Requirements: To adequately perform the duties of this job the employee is regularly and routinely required to sit; stand, walk, stoop, use hands to finger, handle controls; hear, and talk. The employee frequently is required to reach with hands and arms. The employee must be able to climb ladders, work in hot and cold environments, and work in small crawl spaces. The employee must regularly lift and/or move 80lbs and up. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus. The work environment can vary depending on the season in Missouri and scope of work – employees are required to work outdoors throughout the seasons.  The work environment will subject employees to continual interruptions and changing priorities.
