This is a great opportunity for someone who is outgoing, reliable, creative, and passionate about tourism, local culture, and guest experience. This position will serve as the onsite ambassador for an immersive and interactive Route 66 attraction located in Albuquerque. Position Summary The Route 66 Information Station Manager will welcome guests, create a fun and memorable visitor experience, assist with interactive art installations, and help maintain a safe, clean, and engaging environment. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with people, sharing local history, and being part of a guest-facing attraction. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Guest Experience & Engagement - Greet all visitors in a warm, professional, and friendly manner - Answer guest questions and provide direction through the experience - Share Route 66 facts, history, and stories in an engaging way - Assist guests with photo opportunities, interactive art displays, and digital experiences - Help create a positive, inclusive, and memorable environment for tourists, families, and content creators Daily Operations - Open and close the venue using daily checklists - Conduct routine walkthroughs to ensure cleanliness, safety, and exhibit readiness - Manage light operational duties, including stocking and troubleshooting a retro vending machine - Monitor visitor flow and help maintain an organized, welcoming atmosphere - Operate and monitor ticketing or check-in systems, if applicable Safety & Facility Oversight - Monitor the space to ensure guest safety and protect exhibits from damage - Enforce posted rules for interactive art pieces and photo areas - Report maintenance issues, equipment concerns, or safety hazards promptly - Perform basic cleaning tasks throughout the day, including wiping surfaces, resetting props, and tidying guest areas Marketing & Visitor Feedback - Encourage guests to tag the attraction on social media - Assist visitors with QR code share stations and social engagement points - Collect guest feedback and share observations to improve the visitor experience - Support special events or after-hours programming as needed Qualifications - Strong customer service and interpersonal skills - Comfortable interacting with a wide variety of guests - Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently - Able to stand, walk, and move throughout the space for extended periods - Able to lift up to 25 pounds for light stocking and resetting displays Preferred Qualifications - Experience in hospitality, tourism, attractions, museum/gallery operations, or retail - Interest in Route 66 history, Albuquerque culture, or immersive art experiences - Experience using point-of-sale systems or visitor management systems Work Environment - Fast-paced, guest-facing environment - Immersive setting with lighting and audio elements - Work may include both indoor and semi-outdoor spaces depending on setup Physical Requirements - Frequent standing and walking - Occasional reaching, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling - Ability to lift and move items as needed - Must be able to work in an active, interactive environment If you are friendly, dependable, and enjoy creating great experiences for guests, we want to hear from you.
