Shift Operations Technician
Up to £40,000 + benefits
Snetterton, Norfolk
MC Technical Recruitment are currently looking to recruit a Shift Operations Technician for a renewable energy plant based in Snetterton
As an Operations Technician, you will be responsible for:
Safely operating the plant within environmental and operational limits
Managing plant operations from the Control Room and field during start-up, shutdown and emergency situations
Monitoring performance to maximise availability, reliability and efficiency
Carrying out inspections, routine testing, fault finding and first line maintenance
Ensuring compliance with Environmental Permit and safety regulations
Performing isolations and HV switching (up to 33kV) where authorised
Supporting planned outages, fuel handling and site emergency procedures
Maintaining accurate shift logs and updating the CMMS system
Adhering to all Health, Safety and Company policies
Other duties as required
To be considered for this role you should have:
ONC / C&G / NVQ Level 3 in a Mechanical, Electrical or C&I discipline is preferred but not required
Previous experience operating in a biomass renewable energy plant
Understanding of steam turbines, combustion systems, generators and emissions
Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office and CMMS systems
The ability to work independently, take ownership and perform effectively in dynamic situations
Experience using HMI/DCS systems and interpreting P&IDs

40 hour contract, 12 hour shift patterns (Starts on a Wednesday, 2D3N,4off.3D2N,5off,2D2N, 12 off
